Monte players receive permission to leave Ukraine to participate in Global Esports Tour Rio 2024

Monte will be able to attend Global Esports Tour Rio 2024, which will take place from April 18 to 20 in Brazil. The Ukrainian club hinted about this via its social media accounts.

At the same time, Monte's Sergiy "DemQQ" Demchenko confirmed that the Ukrainian members of the squad received permission to leave the country and have already crossed the border.

Previously, the European team was forced to withdraw from IEM Chengdu 2024, which is taking place in China, due to issues with crossing the Ukrainian border. Specific reasons were not reported, but it is known that leaving the country is restricted for males due to martial law.

Note that besides Monte, competing at Global Esports Tour Rio 2024 will be 9z, FURIA, Imperial, Metizport, MIBR, OG and paiN. Participants will share a prize pool of $200,000.
