Monte to miss IEM Chengdu 2024 due to problems with leaving Ukraine
Monte will not be able to participate in IEM Chengdu 2024. The corresponding information was published on the social media accounts of the Ukrainian club.
Reportedly, the Monte players were unable to cross the Ukrainian border. The announcement does not specify the reasons for issues with leaving the country, but it is known that this opportunity is limited for males due to martial law.
IEM Chengdu 2024 organizers have already unveiled a replacement for Monte. Due to the urgency of the issue they had to invite a local team – Steel Helmet.
Note that the upcoming IEM tournament will take place from April 8 to 14 in the Chinese city of Chengdu. In the group stage, Steel Helmet will compete against FaZe, Astralis, Cloud9, Virtus.pro, Nemiga, FlyQuest and Wildcard.
