Aysafromnazareth reveals reason for Jame's CS2 crash during crucial round at Major
Gaming PC optimization specialist, known as Aysafromnazareth, explained via his Twitter account what caused the game's crash for Virtus.pro's Dzhami "Jame" Ali in one of the decisive moments of the match at PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024. According to him, the reason was an error which occurs in a specific version of the NVIDIA driver.
Reportedly, Dzhami got the nvlddmkm gpuid 100 error, which is related to the 551.76 version of the NVIDIA driver.
According to Aysafromnazareth, issues with this driver in CS2 were discovered two months ago. That is why he installed a different version when he was involved in optimizing PCs for the ongoing Major, but the tournament operator's specialists still updated it to 551.76.
Note that yesterday during the Virtus.pro – G2 match for a ticket to the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 playoffs, Jame's game crashed right while defending a planted bomb. As a result, the player was killed without any resistance, while the opponent won a difficult round, which extended the series to the third, victorious for G2, map.
