Astralis bench blameF; ruggah takes over as coach ahead of schedule

Danish club Astralis announced roster changes via its official website. Team's IGL Benjamin "blameF" Bremer has been benched, while Casper "ruggah" Due has officially taken over as coach.

According to the published press release, blameF was excluded from the starting five due to his poor performance as an in-game leader. The new IGL will be revealed shortly.

Bremer joined Astralis in November 2021. The team's biggest achievements during this time include 3rd-4th place at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021, IEM Cologne 2022, IEM Cologne 2024 and CS Asia Championships 2023.

Along with the announcement of blameF's replacement, the club from Denmark reported that the previously signed coach in ruggah will take on his position ahead of schedule. Initially, OG's former skipper was supposed to take over the team only on April 1.

Note that the nearest tournament on Astralis' calendar is IEM Chengdu 2024, which is scheduled for early April.

 Viktor "Staehr" Staehr
 Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
