Series of online events with LAN final in Serbia announced

Tournament operator Relog Media has announced a series of online events, RES Regional Series. In total, the organizers will hold 11 tournaments, one of which will be a LAN final in Belgrade, Serbia.

The online part of RES Regional Series will include 10 events, namely four for South America and six for Europe. The South American tournaments will have a prize pool of $50K, while the European ones will feature $100K. In turn, at the LAN final participants will compete for $250K in prize money. In total, $1.05 million will be up for grabs.

Sixteen invitees will take part in each online event. At the tournaments, participants will earn points, which will be the main selection criteria for the LAN final.

Eight teams will compete at the local final, six of which will be determined based on their points, including two teams from South America and four rosters from Europe. Two more squads will be invited directly by the organizers of the event.

The schedule of the RES Regional Series online events looks as follows:

Latin America

  • LATAM Regional Series 1: February 12-19
  • LATAM Regional Series 2: March 7-14
  • LATAM Regional Series 3: April 12-19
  • LATAM Regional Series 4: May 3-10

Europe

  • EU Regional Series 1: February 28 - March 6
  • EU Regional Series 2: April 3-10
  • EU Regional Series 3: April 22-29
  • EU Regional Series 4: May 15-22
  • EU Regional Series 5: June 4-11
  • EU Regional Series 6: TBA
