Second Major of 2024 to take place in Shanghai

Tournament operator Perfect World will be the organizer of the second Major of 2024. The announcement was made live, before the start of the CS Asia Championship 2024 grand final.

The Major is scheduled for the end of next year and will take place in Shanghai. Notably, China will be hosting Valve's Counter-Strike event for the first time.

The 2024 Major under the auspices of Perfect World will be the second to take place in CS2. The debut Major in the new version of the shooter will be held by PGL from March 17 to 31.

The exact dates for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 have not been revealed yet, but it previously became known that Valve was aiming for December 1-15. The prize pool is set to remain the same at $1.25 million.
