Report: Perfect World and PGL to organize second 2024 Major in Shanghai

As HLTV.org and Dust2 Brasil discovered, China's Shanghai will be the venue for the second Major in 2024. The tournament will be organized by local publisher Perfect World with help from PGL.

It was reported that RMRs are scheduled to play out from October 26 to November 13, and the Major itself will take place in just over two weeks, from December 1 to December 15.

Earlier HLTV.org found out that Valve sent out a letter to tournament operators, asking them to submit bids for organizing Majors in 2024 and 2025. In addition, the developers have unveiled the dates for the Majors.

Should the information be officially confirmed, this will be the first Major to take place in Asia. At the same time, Valve planned to organize a Major in China or Singapore at the end of 2023, but later canceled the event due to the upcoming release of CS2.
