Eternal Fire IGL departs the team after failing to qualify for IEM Rio Major 2022

Turkish organization Eternal Fire has announced on social media that it has parted ways with the squad's captain, Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli. The 31-year-old esports athlete leaves the team three months after being signed.

The official announcement of the replacement in Eternal Fire took place the day after the Turkish squad's elimination from the European RMR event. The team lost its chance to qualify for IEM Rio Major 2022 after falling to Bad News Eagles, Astralis and fnatic.

The vacated spot in the Eternal Fire roster will be taken by Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç, who has been benched since July of this year. The press release does not specify whether the replacement is permanent or temporary.

The next tournament featuring the Turks will be ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 starting in a week. In the second half of this month, the team will also attend BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 Europe.
