IEM Fall 2021 to be played with the latest CS:GO update

IEM Fall 2021 will run on the latest version of CS:GO with all the changes that were introduced in the update on September 22. The event’s organizers announced this on their Twitter account.

According to the press release, the use of the game’s updated version is due to the status of the Valve sanctioned RMR tournament, which IEM Fall 2021 has.

The upcoming championship will take place from September 29 to October 10 in six regions: Europe, CIS, North America, South America, Asia and Oceania. The European part will be held in the LAN format, while the rest will be conducted online.

IEM Fall 2021 will be the final qualifier for PGL Major Stockholm 2021. Based on the results of the tournament, regional RMR ratings will be finalized, which will determine the teams to receive invites to the major championship from Valve.

It should be reminded that the most significant gameplay changes that the IEM Fall 2021 participants will encounter are the ability to drop grenades, a change in the view of the middle part on Dust2 from the terrorist base, a Desert Eagle nerf and increased damage of M4A1-S.
