G2 to compete with stand-in at PGL Astana 2025

G2 will kick off its journey at the PGL Astana 2025 tournament in Astana without a full roster: Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač will miss the first matches of the event due to visa issues.

He will be replaced by coach Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas. The organization announced this via its X social media account. The official statement does not specify when exactly the Bosnian esports athlete will arrive to the capital of Kazakhstan.

According to journalist Richard Lewis, who is at the venue, the problem with huNter-'s visa arose due to an oversight by G2's management, while the team will have to compete with a stand-in for at least the entirety of the group stage.

PGL Astana 2025 will be held from May 10 to 18, 2025 in Astana, Kazakhstan, with the participation of 16 squads. The total prize pool of the event will amount to $1.25 million, half of which will go to players and half to clubs. In the first round of the group stage, G2 will face MIBR.
