HEROIC reveals new roster featuring tN1R, SunPayus, and three Sangal players
Norwegian esports club HEROIC has decided on a new starting five that will represent the organization in the next Counter-Strike 2 competitive season. The official announcement was published on HEROIC's X social media account.
The new members of the team are Álvaro "SunPayus" García, Andrey "tN1R" Tatarinovich, Linus "LNZ" Holtäng, Simon "yxngstxr" Boije, and Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç.
SunPayus's previous team was Falcons, for which he competed from December 2023 to September 2024, after which the Saudi club benched him, where he remained until January 8. tN1R has represented GUN5 since May of last year. LNZ, yxngstxr and xfl0ud previously competed for Sangal.
Moreover, the squad has unveiled two bench players for the upcoming BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 tournament – Linus "nilo" Bergman and Pavle "Maden" Bošković.
Note that on January 4, René "TeSeS" Madsen, Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski and Abdul "degster" Gasanov departed HEROIC's Counter-Strike 2 roster. All three moved to the Falcons. Guy "Nertz" Iluz later joined Liquid, while Rasmus "sjuush" Beck parted ways with the club as a free agent. Thus, only one person remained in the lineup from the previous roster – coach Eetu "sAw" Saha.
