IEM Rio 2024 peaks at 710,000 viewers – 26% more than last year

Recent IEM Rio 2024 tournament, which ended with NAVI's victory, peaked at 710,000 viewers across the broadcasts. The statistics were shared by the analytical service Esports Charts.

The most viewed match of the event was the matchup between NAVI and MOUZ in the final. The top five also included matches with HEROIC, FURIA and Virtus.pro. The average number of viewers across the broadcasts amounted to 289,000. The event was on air for 49 hours and recorded 14.4 million hours watched.

For comparison: last year's IEM Rio, which Vitality won, peaked at about 26% fewer viewers across the broadcasts – 562,000.

IEM Rio 2024 was held from October 7 to 13 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the participation of 16 rosters. The competition featured a total prize pool of $250,000. In the final, NAVI bested MOUZ with a scoreline of 3:1. Mihai "iM" Ivan was named the MVP of the tournament.
