Insider: jL to play for Vitality at two tournaments
According to unofficial reports, 26-year-old Lithuanian esports athlete Justinas "jL" Lekavicius will play as a stand-in for Vitality at two upcoming Counter-Strike 2 events. Insider Sebastien "KRL" Perez reported this, citing his own sources.
According to KRL, Lekavicius will replace William "mezii" Merriman at BLAST Open Porto 2026 (August 26-September 6) and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 (October 24-31). Both players will miss these tournaments due to the birth of their children.
Earlier, jL announced during a personal Twitch stream that he had already found a new team and signed a contract with them. Notably, Lekavicius played for NAVI from June 2023 to July 2025, after which he was benched. In April and May of this year, he represented MOUZ on loan. On July 1, jL departed NAVI due to the expiration of his contract and became a free agent.
