Alliance buys player from Viperio

Swedish esports club Alliance has rounded out its Counter-Strike 2 roster – Markus "upE" Johansson became the fifth member of its starting five.

The transfer was announced by the British organization Viperio, which Johansson has represented since April of this year. The transfer cost has not been disclosed. Alliance itself has not yet publicly announced the roster changes.

Johansson replaced Robin "robiin" Sjögren, whom the team benched a few days ago. Sjögren has represented Alliance since last September.

20-year-old upE began competing on the Counter-Strike pro scene last year. Before Viperio, he competed for Kappa Bar, The Prodigies SE and other lesser-known teams. The Swedish esports athlete's average rating amounts to 0.97.

 Alliance are now:

 Jonathan "b0denmaster" Bodenmalm
 Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen
 Arvid "avid" Åberg
 Simon "twist" Eliasson
 Markus "upE" Johansson

 Simon "Hawk" Vävinggren (coach)
