sh1ro departs Cloud9

North American club Cloud9 announced via its social media accounts the departure of Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov. Reportedly, the 22-year-old AWPer made an independent decision to part ways with the team.

sh1ro has been competing for Cloud9 since April 2022, when the organization signed the Gambit roster. Together with the team, the Russian esports athlete won IEM Dallas 2022, reached the final of ESL Pro League Season 17, and also advanced to the quarter-finals of IEM Rio Major 2022.

It is unknown why Sokolov decided to depart the team. There is also no information on where sh1ro may end up in the future. The official announcement says that the sniper will be put up for transfer.

The nearest tournament for Cloud9 is Thunderpick World Championship 2023. Tomorrow, September 27, the roster will face fnatic.
