Heroic temporarily benches stavn and jabbi amidst their desire to move to Astralis

Heroic announced via its social media accounts that Martin "stavn" Lund and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard have been benched. The club clarified that this is a temporary decision caused by the players's actions.

Heroic reported that stavn and jabbi initiated the departure of Casper "cadiaN" Møller from the lineup. The organization did not want to do this, but had to choose between the IGL and the rest of the team.

In order to persuade the club in parting ways with Møller, Lund and Nygard promised to extend their contracts with Heroic, but subsequently refused to do so. As it turned out, even despite cadiaN's departure, both players did not intend to remain in the club and expressed their desire to move to Astralis.

Heroic emphasized that it is currently doing everything possible to return stavn and jabbi to the starting five. At the same time, the Danes are ready to look into transfer offers for two esports athletes whose contracts expire in August 2024.

The places of stavn and jabbi in Heroic's starting five will be taken by stand-ins from MOUZ NXT in Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard and William "sirah" Kjærsgaard, with whom the team will compete at Roobet Cup 2023 and Thunderpick World Championship 2023. At the same time, the club previously signed Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen until the end of the year.
