IEM Sydney 2023 viewer's guide

IEM Sydney 2023, the first big LAN tournament in Counter-Strike 2, will take place from October 16 to 22. At the tournament, 16 rosters will compete for $250K in prize money and a spot at IEM Katowice 2024 for the winner.

The tournament will kick off with the group stage, which will play out in a Double Elimination format. The openers will be BO1s, while all remaining matches will be BO3s. Three teams from each group will secure playoff tickets. The winners will advance to the semi-finals, while the runner-ups will kick off the decisive stage from the quarter-finals. The IEM Sydney 2023 playoffs will take place in a Single Elimination best-of-three format.
