Monte risks missing IEM Sydney 2023 due to problems with leaving Ukraine

Monte risks to miss IEM Sydney 2023 as Ukrainian players and the coach cannot leave the country. The club announced this via its social media accounts.

Monte's announcement does not disclose specific reasons for the problems with leaving Ukraine, but it is known that this opportunity is limited to males due to Martial Law. However, previously the roster had the opportunity to freely attend foreign tournaments.

Monte's management publicly appealed to "ministries, federations and foundations" for help in legally traveling to represent their country at the prestigious tournament. The club has just a week to get permission and travel to the venue in Australia.

Notably, IEM Sydney 2023 will take place from October 16 to 22. The $250 event will be the first LAN tournament in the new version of Valve’s shooter, Counter-Strike 2.
