zonic confirms joining Falcons as coach

Danish coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen confirmed in an interview with Dexerto the rumors about joining Falcons as a coach. He will start working with the Saudi club on November 1.

Sørensen explained that his choice stemmed from a desire to take on a new challenge, as he aims to become the first coach to win a Major in three versions of Counter-Strike. In addition, the Dane intends to assemble a roster from scratch and bring it to the tier 1 scene.

At the same time, zonic mentioned that he will evaluate the potential of each of the Falcons' current players in order to give them a chance to remain on the team. However, the Danish coach will have complete carte blanche with making transfer decisions.

Vitality's psychologist Lars Roble will join Sørensen at Falcons. They have been working together since 2018, when they both were part of Astralis.

zonic has been competing for Vitality since January 2022. Under his leadership, the team won ESL Pro League Season 16, IEM Rio 2023 and BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, as well as reached the final at BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 and BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023.
