BLAST's top manager takes high position at ESL FACEIT Group

One of BLAST's top managers, Nicolas Estrup, accepted the position of Vice President of Product Development at ESL FACEIT Group. He announced this via his social media accounts.

Estrup joined BLAST at the very beginning of the company's development, when it was still called RFRSH and, in addition to organizing tournaments, managed Astralis. Subsequently, he helped to establish one of the largest tournament operators in the world, which came to be ESL's main competitor.

The new Vice President of Product Development at ESL FACEIT Group noted that the decision to change jobs was made as part of career development and the search for new challenges. In his announcement, the Dane thanked his former colleagues and emphasised that he would continue to develop esports in the largest company in the industry, which employs 10 times more people than BLAST.

Notably, ESL FACEIT Group was founded in early 2022 as a result of the merger between ESL tournament operator and FACEIT. The $1.5 billion deal was funded by the Savvy Gaming Group consortium, backed by the Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
