xseveN retires from competition

Finnish esports athlete Sami "xseveN" Laasanen announced his retirement. The corresponding statement of the 28-year-old player was published by HAVU, for which he has been competing since 2020.

xseveN does not intend to continue performing on the professional stage due to the loss of motivation. However, he did not disclose what he would do after retiring.

Laasanen is best known for his stints with ENCE, for which he competed from 2018 to 2020. During this period, together with his teammates, he managed to reach the finals of the IEM Katowice 2019 Major and win such big tournaments as StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 6 and BLAST Pro Series Madrid 2019.

Having joined HAVU in the summer of 2020, xseveN has competed predominantly at the tier 2 scene. During this time, the Finnish roster won several national tournaments, but did not succeed in competing with stronger teams.
