OverDrive: Staehr to join Astralis after Sprout's contract expires

Danish club Astralis are looking to sign Sprout's Victor "Staehr" Staehr as a free agent, as insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov shared via his Telegram channel.

According to the announced information, Staehr's contract with Sprout expires in about six months. At the same time, Astralis is trying to speed up the transfer of the esports athlete, but the German club does not intend to part ways with him without compensation.

OverDrive did not name Astralis' player, who Staehr could replace. For Sprout, an 18-year-old Dane competes as a rifler.

Staehr has been competing for Sprout since early 2022. During this period, he helped the team to win several regional tournaments, as well as to achieve some success on the international arena, including 3rd-4th place at ESL Challenger Valencia 2022 and Elisa Masters Espoo 2022, as well as 12th-14th place at IEM Rio Major 2022.
