nitr0 to depart Liquid after IEM Dallas 2023

Liquid's Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella has decided to depart the roster after IEM Dallas 2023, as 27-year-old American announced via his Twitter account.

In his statement, Cannella noted that the upcoming event will be his last CS:GO tournament. At the moment he wants to focus on his family, but doesn't know what will happen in the future. The player stated that he still likes to compete, however, will focus on streaming.

nitr0 joined Liquid in 2015. Together with the team, he won numerous tier 1 tournaments, including ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, and also won Intel Grand Slam Season 2. In the summer 2020 he already departed the team to try his hand at Valorant, but returned a year and a half later.

Recently, Cannella has also lost his role as Liquid's IGL, as Mareks "YEKINDAR" Galinskis took over the responsibilities.

IEM Dallas 2023 will play out from May 29 to June 4 in the United States. In the first match of the group stage, Liquid will face Astralis.
