FACEIT adds an account verification system

FACEIT has officially introduced via their blog an account verification system that checks for the player's passport information and identity. It was reported that in the future, verification will become mandatory for participation in the tournaments.

The main task of the new system is to cope with smurfs and the multi-account issue. To pass verification, the player will need a smartphone, a face capture function, an ID, as well as to reach legal age.

According to the developers, in the future the system will offer an additional verification option that will not require documents. In this case, players will undergo a multi-level face check.

FACEIT also introduces forced verification for certain accounts, after which players will be able to continue using the platform's services.
