Copenhagen Flames players stock up on stickers day before club goes bankrupt

A trader satsdart took it to Twitter to speak about the sale of club stickers to Copenhagen Flames players. An interesting fact is that the transactions took place a day before the official declaration of bankruptcy by the organization.

It is known that all ex-Copenhagen Flames players were engaged in buying stickers – Thomas "birdfromsky" Due-Frederiksen, Johannes "b0RUP" Borup, Thomas "TMB" Bundsbæk, Rasmus "raalz" Steensborg and Asger "Farlig" Jensen. The trader himself noted that he sold the stickers for about half the price. Esports athletes made purchases from their main accounts, but almost immediately acquired storage for items.

It is unknown what consequences players may face for making this kind of deal. These actions can be classified as insider trading, however, the Steam marketplace is not a regulated market, and only sanctions can be imposed by Valve.

Yesterday, May 1, Copenhagen Flames went bankrupt and officially suspended all operations. The club has been represented on the professional scene since 2016. The reason for the closure was financial problems and an unsuccessful search for investments.
