Vitality are first IEM Rio 2023 finalists

Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's squad became the first IEM Rio 2023 finalist. At this stage, the European roster will face the winner of the next semi-final match between NAVI and Heroic.

In the semi-finals of the tournament, Vitality got the best of Cloud9 with a scoreline of 2:1 – 6:16 on Inferno, 19:16 on Vertigo and 16:9 on Overpass.

After this loss, the Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov-led roster got relegated from IEM Rio 2023. At the tournament, Cloud9 placed 3rd-4th place and secured $20,000 in prize money.
