OverDrive: Qikert to depart Virtus.pro

Esports athlete Alexey "Qikert" Golubev will depart Virtus.pro, as the insider Aleksey "OverDrive" Biryukov reported via his Twitter account.

Golubev joined the club at the end of 2019 when Virtus.pro signed ex-AVANGAR lineup. In three and a half years, he managed to secure Flashpoint 2, cs_summit 7 and IEM Rio Major 2022 titles, as well as reach the EM Katowice 2021 final.

However, at the start of the current season, the roster encountered first difficulties, which turned out to be associated with a failure at the RMR tournament and the departure of Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin.

Moreover, Virtus.pro withdrew from the upcoming IEM Rio 2023, citing insufficient preparation and the need to focus more on training.

Should the OverDrive information be officially confirmed, Virtus.pro's lineup will look as follows:

 Dzhami "Jame" Ali
 Petr "fame" Bolyshev
 Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev

 Dastan "dastan" Akbayev (coach)
