Five Asia RMR matches rescheduled for tomorrow
HLTV.org reported that five out of six matches of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Asia RMR first playday have been postponed until tomorrow, April 7th.
The Asia RMR kicked off without any problems, as TheMongolz and Twisted Minds managed to play their match on time. However, the main difficulties happened during the next match.
Rare Atom's Andrew "kaze" Khong fell ill during a match against VERTEX. The Malaysian had to receive medical attention, and never managed to continue the game. Initially, the match was paused, as Hong wanted to return to the server, but it was almost immediately postponed afterwards. A few hours later, the organizers allowed Rare Atom to finish the match with coach Xielin "k4Mi" Zhu stepping in.
However, after five and a half hours of waiting, the game never resumed, as the host could not fix the server issues. Thus, the organizers decided to postpone the remaining matches until tomorrow, as the event dragged on until late in the evening on local time.
The upper bracket quarter-finals Rare Atom – VERTEX, Grayhound – TYLOO and Eruption – Invictus International, as well as the upper bracket semi-finals were postponed.
