smooya to replace degster in OG's opener at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023

OG AWPer Abdul "degster" Gasanov will not be able to play in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 Europe opener due to illness. The club announced via their Twitter account that the Russian will be temporarily replaced by Owen "smooya" Butterfield.

OG clarified that degster fell ill earlier this week, but did not elaborate on the severity of the illness. It is unknown whether the player will be able to return to the roster if the team continues to compete at the BLAST event.

NIP is OG's first opponent at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023. The teams will battle it out today, March 29, at 17:30 MSK. The winner will advance to the semi-finals to face the best team out of the Cloud9 – Copenhagen Flames pair on March 31, while the loser will be relegated from the tournament .
