PGL to organize first ever Counter-Strike 2 Major in Denmark
The first details of the previously announced first Counter-Strike 2 Major have become known. The prestigious tournament will be organized by PGL along with Valve in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, from March 17 to 31, 2024.
The event is called PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024. The prize pool will not increase compared to the last Major of the CS:GO professional scene and will amount to $1.25 million.
PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 matches will be hosted by Royal Arena with a 12,000 seating capacity. This stadium is known for hosting numerous BLAST tournaments.
Counter-Strike 2 will be released this summer after the Limited Test, which began on March 22, ends. To transition the professional scene from CS:GO to CS2 smoothly, Valve canceled the second Major of 2022.
