Rumors: refrezh to replace HexT in Evil Geniuses

BLIX portal, citing its sources, has reported that Danish player Ismail "refrezh" Ali is close to signing with the American team Evil Geniuses.

The 25-year-old Dane is best known for his time with Heroic, with whom he won several tier 1 tournaments. refrezh's previous team was Sprout, where he played for six months. However, at the end of February, the Dane departed the starting five due to a difference in views on the game tactics.

It was reported that Evil Geniuses intend to exclude Jadan "HexT" Postma from the starting five. The 21-year-old Canadian joined the team last summer after leaving EG Black but fell short to achieve any success. Team's failures were likely the reason for the roster changes.

Evil Geniuses' next tournament will be BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 Americas, which is scheduled to play out from March 29 to April 2.

Should the BLIX information be officially confirmed, North American club’s lineup will look as follows:

 Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
 Timothy "autimatic" Ta
 Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov
 Jerric "wiz" Jiang
 Ismail "refrezh" Ali
