paiN through to ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs; NIP and Rooster out

Brazilian team paiN has advanced to the ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs from group C after defeating Grayhound in a match, securing a ticket to the Round of 16 with a scoreline of 2:1 – 7:16 on Inferno, 16:12 on Nuke and 16:12 on Anubis.

In the elimination matches, OG and Rooster were both relegated from the tournament. Nikolaj "niko" Kristensens' squad lost to NIP (11:16 on Vertigo and 18:22 on Mirage), while the Australians fell down to 00NATION (16:3 on Anubis, 14:16 on Inferno and 12:16 on Mirage).

The final Group C matches will play out on March 12. Grayhound and 00NATION will battle it out for the survival at 14:30 MSK, followed by the winner facing NIP for a playoff ticket at 21:30 MSK. The game between FaZe and Vitality, for an opportunity to start the decisive stage of the tournament from the quarterfinals, will take place in between two aforementioned matches.
