Beyond the Summit ceases operations

David Gorman, Beyond the Summit's co-founder has announced via his Twitter account that the American esports production company laid off most of the staff and ceased operations.

Gorman emphasized that Beyond the Summit is not completely shut down. According to him, a drastic staff reduction is necessary to avoid bankruptcy due to financial problems.

Beyond the Summit retains the trademark, the Los Angeles studio, and broadcast equipment. Gorman announced his readiness to negotiate possible investments that will help to revive the company.

Beyond the Summit was founded in 2013 and held tournaments in various disciplines since. In CS:GO, the company is best known for the cs_summit tournament, where a total of $1.2 million in prize money was up for grabs between 2017 and 2021.
