G2 advance to ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs; Evil Geniuses and MIBR eliminated

G2 came on top of fnatic in the match for one of four tickets to the ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs from Group A. The confrontation ended with a scoreline of 2:1 – 16:8 on Vertigo, 4:16 on Nuke and 16:9 on Inferno.

The playday also saw two elimination matches, following which Evil Geniuses and MIBR found themselves eliminated from the tournament. The North Americans lost to IHC (10:16 on Inferno, 16:6 on Overpass and 6:16 on Nuke), while the Brazilians fell to Eternal Fire (16:10 on Anubis and 16:11 on Vertigo).

Group A’s final matches will take place on February, 26. An elimination match between fnatic and IHC is scheduled for 14:30 MSK, after which the winner will play Eternal Fire for a spot in the playoffs at 21:30 MSK. Cloud9 and Outsiders, who booked their berths to the next stage of the tournament earlier, will face off for a higher seed at 18:30 MSK.
