BIG replace syrsoN with their academy team's AWPer

BIG have announced via their social media accounts that they have replaced their AWPer. Taking over the spot of Florian "syrsoN" Rische, who was put on the bench, is Marcel "hyped" Köhn, a member of the club's academy team.

BIG did not reveal the reason behind syrsoN's removal from the main roster. The press release only notes that it was a mutual decision of the parties.

syrsoN was part of BIG since 2019. With him on board, the team achieved its greatest success in 2020, winning several online tournaments and subsequently topping the world rankings for some time. At the end of that year, Rische placed tenth place on the list of the professional scene's best players.

hyped joined BIG Academy last spring and has since established himself as the squad's statistical leader. Prior to the official announcement of his promotion to the main team, he had already made several appearances for the senior roster, helping them to qualify for IEM Brazil 2023.

BIG's next matches will take place at ESL Pro League Season 17. The Germans are set to compete in Group B from March 1-5, vying for one of four playoff spots against the likes of Heroic, MOUZ, FURIA, Complexity, Imperial, SAW and Movistar Riders.

 BIG current lineup is:

 Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz
 Nils "k1to" Gruhne
 Josef "faveN" Baumann
 Karim "Krimbo" Moussa
 Marcel "hyped" Köhn
