New peak player count record set in CS:GO
Today, February 11, CS:GO recorded a new all-time high peak player count. According to analytical service Steam Charts, 1,320,219 players were playing Valve's shooter concurrently.
The previous record was set three years ago in April 2020, when CS:GO's player count peaked at 1,305,714.
It is worth noting that April 2020 also saw a record set for the average monthly player count, which still stands to this day, with 857,604 players.
CS:GO was released on August 21, 2012. Over the past decade, Valve's shooter has established itself as one of the most popular games in the world and a leading competitive esports discipline.
