HexT apologizes for racist and homophobic tweets

Evil Geniuses' Jadan "HexT" Postma made a public apology for the racist and homophobic tweets he posted between 2015 and 2018. He took to Twitter to call such behavior unacceptable.

The insensitive words I used in my tweets make me wince. I am ashamed of how I tried to express myself as a teenager, and I am sorry for the hurt I caused due to my actions. I can't thank enough my friends, family, and mentors that have given me the trust and space to improve myself since then. I feel like I have grown up, but my actions will and should lead the way to build that trust back up. I am sorry.

The day before, journalists drew attention to a number of offensive tweets by HexT, some of which have already been deleted. The American esports athlete wrote all these messages during his teenage years.

As of now, Evil Geniuses have yet to react to the scandal around their player. Previously EG have repeatedly publicly stated that they consider any kind of xenophobia unacceptable and that all the players are regularly checked for alignment with the organization's values.
