Annual tournament Copenhagen Games canceled for fourth consecutive time

The organizers of the Copenhagen Games LAN tournament have announced via Twitter the cancellation of the competition, which was supposed to take place in May. A lack of financial support from sponsors was cited as the reason for such a decision.

Copenhagen Games has been postponed for the fourth time in a row. In 2020 and 2021, the championship did not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic, while a year ago, it was canceled due to budgetary concerns.

The last iteration of Copenhagen Games took place in the Danish capital in 2019, with forZe claiming the title.

In the CS:GO community, Copenhagen Games events are primarily known as a place for the development of young talents. Teams such as Gambit Youngsters and Heroic participated in the tournament at different times in the past, subsequently becoming the pro scene's leaders.
