"It was a forced decision". Cloud9 analyst explains why interz was replaced
Cloud9 analyst Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov gave an interview to Escorenews, in which he spoke about the reasons behind replacing Timofey "interz" Yakushin with Timur "buster" Tulepov. He noted that this was a forced decision, as the team needed changes.
It's very sad that this happened. Timokha was with us from the very beginning. Replacing interz was a forced decision. It's not because he's a bad player. It's like a signal that the team needs. It's like we're writing on a page that has long since ended. It needs to be turned. The problem is in ink and paper, Timofey has nothing to do with it. He works a lot and very hard.
interz was part of Cloud9's current roster core since 2019, the year when Gambit's junior lineup was assembled. In 2021, he helped the team win several big events, and in the spring of last year, together with his teammates, he joined the North American club.
The revamped Cloud9 roster will debut at IEM Katowice 2023. The prestigious championship is scheduled to take place on February 1-12.
