mantuu enters free agency

Polish esports athlete Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski has become a free agent upon the expiry of his contract with OG, the European club announced on Twitter.

mantuu joined OG in December 2019, when the organization entered the CS:GO pro scene. Throughout the 2.5 years that the AWPer spent in the team, it failed to secure a single trophy, with its best result being a second-place finish at IEM Summer 2021 Europe.

Wilczewski was put on the OG bench last summer. Initially, he was temporarily replaced by Abdul "degster" Gasanov, as the Pole was unable to take part in BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 after falling ill, and subsequently the club announced that it was replacing the sniper completely.

After being excluded from OG's starting five, mantuu has been inactive. In 2023, he will be looking for a new team and streaming in the meantime.
