Report: FURIA decide on new assistant coach

FURIA are in talks with ODDIK on the transfer of Sid "sidde" Macedo, who they want to acquire to reinforce their coaching staff, Dust2 Brasil reports.

FURIA intend to use Macedo as an assistant to head coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira. Previously, these duties were fulfilled by Marcos "tacitus" Castilho, who left the club at the end of last year to pursue an independent career.

The 25-year-old sidde has no experience at the CS:GO pro scene's highest level. He began coaching in 2019 and has since been in charge of the Redemption POA, Liberty and ODDIK rosters, with whom he has not achieved any significant success.

The journalists learned that ODDIK understand Macedo's desire to work at a higher level and facilitate the negotiations with FURIA. If the clubs agree on the terms of the Brazilian's move, he will join the team's preparations for IEM Katowice 2023, which is set to kick off on January 31 and will be the first tournament for FURIA in the new competitive season.
