Maniac: "m0NESY turned so quickly into the full package. He's going to be here for a decade"

Analyst Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez shared on the HLTV Confirmed podcast his opinion on G2 AWPer Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov's first year of competition in the tier-1 scene. He noted the incredible progress of the 17-year-old Russian and suggested that he will remain among the best players in the world for at least the next decade.

It is an incredible first year that he's had with G2. He has gone so fast from being a flashy AWPer that runs everywhere and misses easy shots and gets caught off guard to an actual turret that will do the flicks, the safe, the right move and the clutch. I feel like he's turned so quickly into the full package. I said it at the desk, he's going to be here for a decade. He is going to be one of the best players in the world of Counter-Strike for years to come. I see no reason why this would go sideways with how he's been playing.

G2 acquired m0NESY from NAVI at the beginning of 2022 for an amount that, according to rumors, was around $600,000. Being part of the European squad, Osipov took part in quite a few top-tier events where the team's best achievement was the victory at BLAST Premier World Final 2022.
