Jame: "IEM Rio Major 2022 is one of the few tournaments where people are rooting for us"

Speaking with a Dust2.com.br journalist, Outsiders' in-game leader Dzhami "Jame" Ali noted the support of his team from Brazilian fans who are watching the matches of IEM Rio Major 2022 live. The Russian called this situation unusual for him and his teammates.

Having the crowd during matches is very important to me. IEM Rio Major 2022 is one of the few tournaments where people in the arena are rooting for us. I have been playing for five years, I played in the Americas and Europe, but when the championship was in Moscow (BLAST Pro Series Moscow 2019 – Editor's note) and the fans were on our side, we won. Maybe this is exactly what we need.

For me, it's no different if I play on stage or backstage because there are headphones with good sound isolation. Before the game you feel something in terms of the noise of the crowd, after the game you feel it too, but during the game you are so focused that you can't hear anyone.

Jame gave an interview after a victory over MOUZ in the Legends Stage, which ensured his team a ticket to the playoffs of IEM Rio Major 2022. Outsiders' captain believes that in the decisive stage of the tournament, the game of some teams may change due to pressure from the crowd.

It will be a great experience for us as the current Major is the biggest championship we've ever played. Anything is possible. The strength of some teams may change because it's the playoffs of a Major. With more people in the stands, with a bigger stadium, I don't know what will happen.

The opponents of Outsiders in the IEM Rio Major 2022 quarterfinal will be determined in a draw, which will take place on the night of November 9 after all Legends Stage matches are played out.
