YEKINDAR signs with Liquid

Latvian esports athlete Mareks "YEKINDAR" Galinskis has signed a contract with Liquid, which he has been representing as a stand-in for the past few months. The North American club announced the newcomer on its social media.

YEKINDAR joined Liquid as a free agent. A few days ago, he tweeted that he bought himself out of the contract with Virtus.pro, who moved him to the bench in May this year.

Galinskis has been standing in for Liquid since June, when he helped the team take 3-4th place at IEM Cologne 2022. Subsequently, the Latvian, together with his teammates, reached the grand final of ESL Pro League Season 16 and also qualified for IEM Major Rio 2022 and BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022.

Liquid announced the signing of YEKINDAR two weeks before the start of the upcoming Major, which will take place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil. Due to a successful run at the Americas RMR tournament, Liquid will skip the initial Challengers Stage and start their campaign right from the Legends Stage.
