MOUZ, Outsiders and ENCE get first opponents at ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022

Tournament operator ESL has announced via its official Twitter account the matchups for the group stage of ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022. The $100,000 event will take place on October 14-16 in the Netherlands.

MOUZ, Outsiders and ENCE, who are the highest-rated participants of the tournament, will start the competition with matches against Nixuh, Fluxo and TeamOne, respectively. Besides the aforementioned squads, the first matchday will also see Movistar Riders go up against Eternal Fire.

According to ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022's rules, eight participants are split into two groups, where they will fight for two playoff spots in the Double Elimination (GSL) format. The opening meetings in the group stage will be played as best-of-one, while the promotion and elimination matches will feature a best-of-three format.

The opening matchups in Group A are:

 MOUZ –  Nixuh
 Movistar Riders –  Eternal Fire

The opening matchups in Group B are:

 Outsiders –  Fluxo
 ENCE –  TeamOne

The teams taking part in ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 will compete not only for the prize money but also for one ticket to EPL Conference Season 17, a qualifying event for the seventeenth season of the ESL Pro League.
