IEM Katowice 2023 and IEM Cologne 2023 dates announced

Tournament operator ESL has announced the dates for IEM Katowice 2023 and IEM Cologne 2023, two of the most prestigious tournaments in the ESL Pro Tour series. The event in the Polish city of Katowice will be held from January 31 to February 12, while Cologne, Germany, will host the best teams in the world from July 25 to August 6.

The dates for the two big events have changed compared to this year's editions. In 2023, the Polish LAN will be organized two weeks earlier than in 2022, while the competition in Germany has been shifted three weeks forward in the calendar.

IEM Cologne 2023 will take place shortly after the end of the summer break in the CS:GO pro scene, the dates of which were previously approved by the Counter-Strike Professional Players' Association (CSPPA). According to the decision of the Association, 2023 will be split into two more even competitive seasons, between which the teams will be off from June 12 to July 9.

The organizers of IEM Katowice 2023 and IEM Cologne 2023 left the prize pools of the tournaments and their venues unchanged. The Spodek Arena in Katowice and Lanxess Arena in Cologne will see top-tier teams battling out $1 million.
