Official: BLAST to organize the first Major of 2023 in Paris

In 2023, the first of two Valve-sponsored Majors will take place in Paris. The tournament will be organized by BLAST, which, in a press release on its official website, confirmed the previously published insider information from Dexerto.

The capital of France will host BLAST Paris Major 2023 from May 8 to 21. The RMR events, which will determine the participants of the prestigious tournament, will be held from April 3 to 9.

For BLAST, the Major in Paris will be the first one in the five-year history of the company. From 2017 to 2019, the tournament operator organized single events in different cities around the world, after which switched to the format of two competitive seasons per year, which ended with the World Final.

BLAST did not name the arena that will host the matches of the prestigious event. The tournament operator's CEO, Robbie Douek, only noted that his company will try to exceed the expectations of the community and will pay special attention to the celebration of the tenth anniversary since the first Major in the history of the CS:GO pro scene.

The next Major named IEM Rio 2022 will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The ESL-organized tournament will take place from October 31 to November 13.
