Heroic add former fnatic Rising coach as Xizt's assistant

Heroic have announced on Twitter the expansion of their coaching staff. Joining head coach Richard "Xizt" Landström as an assistant coach will be Mikael "sheddaN" Mellström, who previously headed fnatic's academy roster.

Mellström has coached fnatic Rising since early 2022. He begins working with Heroic shortly after fnatic's academy team won the fifth season of the WePlay Academy League under his leadership.

sheddaN is no stranger to an analyst role. In 2021, the Swede was in the same position in Dignitas' coaching staff for five months.

Heroic announced the signing of Mellström just ahead of the start of their ESL Pro League Season 16 campaign. From September 14 to 18, in Group C, the Danes will face off against MOUZ, ENCE, Complexity, HEET and Astralis.
