Pimp names his candidates for removal from top teams this season
Analyst Jacob "Pimp" Winneche took to Twitter to name nine players who, in his opinion, are on the verge of being removed from top teams. He believes that all of the esports athletes listed need to significantly improve their level of play in the near future in order to keep their places on the rosters.
The candidates for removal from top teams according to Pimp are:
- Asger "Farlig" Jensen (Astralis)
- Nils "k1to" Gruhne (BIG)
- Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora (NIP)
- Patrick "es3tag" Hansen (NIP)
- Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev (NAVI)
- Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth (Astralis)
- Dan "apEX" Madesclaire (Vitality)
- Christopher "dexter" Nong (MOUZ)
- Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen (G2)
Winneche also commented on the current position of some of the players named. In particular, he noted that HooXi needs to be given a chance, but G2 often change their lineup unpredictably.
Speaking about the prospects for apEX, the analyst emphasized that now that the star roster has been built around the Frenchman, he needs to show all his abilities as an in-game leader. As for Astralis, parting ways with Farlig or Xyp9x will help the Danes become a more aggressive team, Pimp believes.
