O PLANO and 9z qualify for Americas RMR

O PLANO and 9z have become the winners of the second South American open qualifier for the upcoming Americas RMR tournament. The qualifying competition took place on August 20-22.

During the qualifier, the winners won three best-of-one matches, after which, in the decisive best-of-three encounters, the recently announced O PLANO roster beat Fluxo 2:1 (19:16 on Dust2, 14:16 on Vertigo and 16:7 on Nuke), while 9z got the better of Case (14:16 on Inferno, 16:10 on Nuke and 16:7 on Mirage).

After O PLANO and 9z booked their berths to the Americas RMR, the list of confirmed participants in the tournament has expanded to ten teams. Earlier, the tickets were secured by 00NATION, MIBR, paiN, Complexity and ex-Gaimin Gladiators, who made it past the open qualifiers, while FURIA, Imperial and Liquid will show up as direct invitees.

Two more open qualifiers for North America and one qualifier for South America will play out from August 25 to September 5, with the six remaining spots in the RMR being up for grabs.
